The Ishbel is slowly slowly growing. I've nearly finished the second section B, then have section C and the edging to do. I'm really enjoying knitting it, but I do have to concentrate on what I'm doing or I'll get the yos in the wrong place! It's so satisfying to see the pattern emerge.
Can you spot the deliberate mistake in the central pattern...? Good job I'm not a perfectionist ;-)
I started a rainbow Trillian this week. It's pretty much going to take the whole of my life. Thin yarn + 3mm needles + slow knitter + limited knitting time = long project! But the pattern is simple and I've memorised the 2 repeating rows. I'm enjoying this one too. I wonder when I'll get off the shawl kick?

Oooh, I've not seen Trillian before, it looks like it'll be stunning. I know what you mean about tiny yarn and tiny needles though!
ReplyDeleteI have Trillian in my queue! I love the yarn you are using. Your Ishbel is coming along nicely, the colour is lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful WIPs! I also have Trillian in my queue (I think I may even have added it after seeing it on Carole's :D ) - I just ADORE that yarn - what is it?
ReplyDeleteBoth are gorgeous. I love the shimmer in the blue, and the bright cheeriness of the multi-colored one. What fun yarn.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your Ishbel! The Trillian looks like it's coming out lovely!
ReplyDeleteShawls are awesome, and once you start doing them it's very hard to stop. :)
ReplyDeleteDeliberate mistake, eh? I have some issues with the center "spine" of shawls. I'm thinking of altering patterns to have 3 stitches in there instead of one to make it a bit more substantial.
Your shawls are lovely. I just finished a blue Ishbel and loved knitting it.
ReplyDeleteboth projects are beautiful
ReplyDeleteWow, two shawls at once! That's ambitious, for sure. They're both looking great -- I'm such a sucker for Ysolda's patterns. And Ishbel looks amazing in that blue. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects!!!!! Can't wait to see the F.Os
ReplyDeleteThe yarn you're using for the Trillian pattern is unbelievably beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI've been putting off making shawls for the same reasons you site for taking the rest of your life to finish them. . . But one of these days I know I'm going to break (and likely with the Ishbel pattern).
That Ishbel is going to look stunning when it's done - lovely yarn choice :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth your WIPs are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteTwo shawls on the go at once! Love the colours of the Trillan
ReplyDeleteGreat looking shawls. Love the colors. I hear you on the shawl kick. They are so addictive and fun.
ReplyDeleteYour Ishbel is gorgeous and I'm in love with yarn you chose for your rainbow Trillian! I can't wait to see how it turns out. I would never have the patience to finish a shawl, but I do adore them :)
ReplyDeleteI love both, but the Trillian is going to be amazing in that colorful yarn! I can't wait to see it grow!
