It's match box swap time, our second one. This month's theme is rainforest. Betsy loves Go Diego Go, which is set in a South American rainforest, so we talked about the animals that we'd seen on the programmes.
We decided to colour in a couple of pictures, make a little crochet snake, and add some stickers. I covered the box in some rainforesty fabric, and we were both really pleased with how it turned out.
The folded up picture in the box is the parrot:
We decided the snake should be an anaconda.
We used the red eyed tree frog picture as a postcard, and wrote a message to our recipient on the back. I really hope she likes her match box.

Rainbow themed match box swap
Third and final blog post of the evening! I stumbled across a home ed match box swap and just fell in love with the idea. I remember at infant school there was a competition to fill a match box with as many items as possible, and how much I enjoyed it. This is even better - there is a theme each month, and you fill the match box with little things, or drawings, or whatever the kids think of.
Freddie wasn't all that interested, but Betsy liked the idea so she and I worked on it.
We post it tomorrow (and eagerly await ours!), and I took some photos before we packaged it up.
